AUG.30 -day 1 - arrive anchorage, alaska
Arrive in Anchorage where an airport transfer (included) brings you to the hotel to meet your Adventure Specialist. Then you’re free to delve into the city’s unique culture: check out the eclectic dining scene, try a local craft beer, or stroll the waterfront in the evening sun. Overnight at the Anchorage Marriott. *All Alaska Cruisetour arrival times are tentative. The tour component of your escorted Cruisetour vacation is comprised of included experiences, lodging and transportation as described, with itineraries subject to change. Optional excursions are not included. Meals are not included unless specified as an inclusion. All properties are subject to change for properties of a similar quality.

AUG. 31 -day 2 - tour anchorage/denali alaska
Board the glass-domed cars of the Wilderness Express® for the scenic rail journey to Denali. From 4:30 p.m., Denali is yours to explore. Stroll the trails that begin at the park’s museum-like Visitor Center, or book an optional adventure, like rafting down the Nenana River. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

Sep.1 -day 3 - touring denali & talkeetna, alaska
Travel into the park’s unspoiled wilderness on the lookout for wildlife on the Denali Natural History Tour*. Then relax on the deluxe motor coach for the drive to Talkeetna. From 5:30 p.m., the historic small town is yours to enjoy. Relax at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, whose location offers breathtaking views of Denali and the Alaska Range. You can also hike nearby trails or book an optional flightseeing tour to see mountains and glaciers from on high. Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

sep.2 - day 4 - touring talkeetna & alyeska, alaska
There’s time to enjoy more of Talkeetna’s stunning scenery before the coach departs for Anchorage. Get a taste of the big city during a midday stop in downtown before continuing on to Alyeska. Admire the waters of the Turnagain Arm as you enter the Chugach Valley, but you’ll get the best views of the mountains from the aerial tram that ascends from the base of Mount Alyeska to the summit. From 3:30 p.m., your time is your own. Indulge in the resort’s amenities, or book an optional guided hike on a nearby glacier. Overnight at Hotel Alyeska.

sep.3 - day 5 - disembark alyeska & seward alaska
Discover the wonders of Alaskan wildlife at two acclaimed institutions. It’s a short drive from Alyeska to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, which cares for native, orphaned land animals. Then continue to the coast to the historic port town of Seward and the Alaska SeaLife Center, dedicated to preserving the state’s rich marine life. Your Adventure Specialist wishes you a bon voyage at the pier where you’ll board your ship.

sep.3 - day 5 - disembark alyeska & seward alaska
Welcome aboard Radiance of the Seas - Departs 8:00pm
Seward is perched on a peninsula where the ice age has had lasting power. Where ocean and mountains meet, the frosty waters and rugged coast of Resurrection Bay sustain birds, sea mammals and other marine life.

sep. 4 - day 6 - hubbard glacier (cruising)
Arrives 3:00pm - Departs 5:00pm
Hubbard Glacier is 76 miles long, 7 miles wide and 350 feet above the water line where it meets the bay. Watch as massive chunks of ice crash into the bay, a process known as calving that the Tlingit people call "White Thunder."
Experience the excitement of seeing this active, translucent blue glacier up close.

sep.5 - day 7 - glacier bay (cruising)

Covering more than 3 million square miles of lush rainforests, soaring mountains and ancient glaciers, Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve is the heart of the Alaskan countryside. From the glassy waters of the Lituya Bay fjord and to the towering walls of ice of Margerie and Johns Hopkins Glaciers, the views are incomparable here.
Because you'll be surrounded by towering icy blue glacial walls and roaming wildlife, you may not know where to point your camera in Glacier Bay. Be on the lookout for Margerie Glacier, with its icy-blue appearance as it reflects the waters of the inlet, and Johns Hopkins Glacier, backdropped by impressive, ice-capped mountain ridges.

sep. 6 - day 8 - port of call: juneau, alaska
Arrives 7:00am - Departs 8:30pm
Surrounded by fjords, forest and snow-capped mountains, Juneau is one gorgeous state capital. Its historic downtown harkens back to its gold-rush origins and you can still pan for gold. But nature is the priceless treasure
When you're in Juneau, you shouldn't miss the amazing glacial landscape or relive Juneau's gold-rush history and pan for gold in the authentic setting of Gold Creek.

sep.7 - day 9 - port of call: icy strait point
Arrives 6:30am - Departs 4:00pm
The Huna Tlingit welcome visitors to Chichagof Island, where you can experience their rich culture and unspoiled wilderness. Inside the 1912 cannery complex visit the free museum.

sep.8 - day 10 - port of call: ketchikan, alaska
Arrives 9:00am - Departs 6:00pm
Ketchikan is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, whose landscapes and dramatic seascapes can only be reached by plane or boat. The Salmon Capital is a hub for sports fishing and home to a collection of totem poles. Where you can explore the history of totem poles and see some terrific examples.

Set between the sea and snow-capped mountains, Vancouver is a stylish multicultural metropolis. Explore its different neighborhoods, including historic Gastown, visit city parks and beaches, and dine at acclaimed restaurants.
