July 7 -day 1 - arrive fairbanks, alaska

FAIRBANKS, ALASKA COACH TRANSFER

Airport to Hotel Trip Length: approximately 10-20 minutes. If your flight is within the flight arrival parameters, a cruise line representative will meet you in the baggage claim area at the airport and assist with locating your luggage on the baggage carousel. The representative will also assist you with your transfer to your Fairbanks hotel. After you identify your luggage, our staff will ensure it is transported to the hotel. After checking in, you have the rest of the day free for shopping or relaxing. Please locate your Tour Director in the hotel lobby for assistance with your check in and for local area information. (Tour Director available from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM). Overnight in Fairbanks.

july 8 -day 2 - tour chena & tanana rivers

FAIRBANKS INCLUDED ACTIVITY:

Riverboat Discovery Cruise Tour Length: approximately 3 hours

Before setting out for the Riverboat Discovery Cruise, a stop will be made for lunch on your own. After lunch, board the Riverboat Discovery, a large sternwheeler riverboat, for a journey down the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Upon conclusion of the tour, you will return to your hotel and have the remainder of the evening free to enjoy independently. Note: The order of the activities on this day may change.

july 9-day 3 - touring denali by rail

FAIRBANKS/DENALI RAIL TRANSFER

Fairbanks to Denali Trip Length: approximately 4 hours

In the morning, you’ll board the Wilderness Express, our glass-domed railcar and travel to Denali. Breakfast is available onboard (additional fees apply). Once in Denali, you'll have free time to book an optional land excursion or relax. Your Tour Director can help you choose from an array of activities, including the Husky Homestead Tour or Denali Park Dinner Theater. Later you'll enjoy a relaxing overnight stay in Denali.

july 10 - day 4 - touring denali national park

DENALI INCLUDED ACTIVITY: Tundra Wilderness Tour
Tour Length: approximately 4 – 5 hours
In the morning, you’ll depart via park bus on the Tundra Wilderness Tour deep into Denali National Park to search for Denali’s 'big five': grizzlies, moose, caribou, grey wolves and Dall sheep. Enjoy the diversity of the landscape as you travel through the taiga forest and sweeping tundra. Don’t forget your binoculars and camera. Enjoy the remainder of your afternoon and evening by relaxing or exploring the hiking trails around the lodge or participating in an optional land excursion. A second night will be spent in Denali.

july 11 - day 5 - disembark denali & seward alaska

DAY 5 • Friday • Denali/Anchorage/Seward
DENALI/ANCHORAGE/SEWARD COACH TRANSFER Trip Length: approximately 6 hours (with stop for independent lunch)

Leaving Mt. Denali behind, depart by coach for Anchorage. Enjoy lunch on your own before continuing to Seward, passing the beautiful Chugach Mountains along the way.
COACH TRANSFER Anchorage to Seward Trip Length: approximately 3 hours After lunch depart for Seward via coach to begin the cruise portion of your vacation.

july 11 - day 5 - disembark seward alaska

Welcome aboard the Celebrity Summit - Departs 8:00pm

 

Seward is perched on a peninsula where the ice age has had lasting power. Where ocean and mountains meet, the frosty waters and rugged coast of Resurrection Bay sustain birds, sea mammals and other marine life.

july 12 - day 6 - hubbard glacier (cruising)

Arrives 3:00pm  - Departs 6:00pm

 

Hubbard Glacier is 76 miles long, 7 miles wide and 350 feet above the water line where it meets the bay. Watch as massive chunks of ice crash into the bay, a process known as calving that the Tlingit people call "White Thunder." 

Experience the excitement of seeing this active, translucent blue glacier up close.

july 13 - day 7 - junea, alaska(docked)

Arrives 11:30am  - Departs 9:00pm

 

Surrounded by fjords, forest and snow-capped mountains, Juneau is one gorgeous state capital. Its historic downtown harkens back to its gold-rush origins and you can still pan for gold. But nature is the priceless treasure

When you're in Juneau, you shouldn't miss the amazing glacial landscape or relive Juneau's gold-rush history and pan for gold in the authentic setting of Gold Creek.

july 14 - day 8 - port of call: skagway, alaska

Arrives 7:00am  - Departs 8:00pm

 

Skagway, Alaska: The great Klondike Gold Rush lives on in Skagway's charming downtown of restored 19th-century buildings and its historic railway. Located on the edge of the wilderness, this small town saw its fair share of gold rush, get rich dreamers pass through. Today, it’s residents are more than welcome to share the stories of its untamed past. And there’s so much fascinating history to uncover on a Skagway cruise. Head to Klondike Gold Rush National Park Museum for an in-depth look at Klondike and the two routes out of Skagway – Chilkoot Pass and White Pass. From the vintage train, admire the mountains and see the 1898 trail that fortune seekers traveled on foot. The White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad runs the vintage locomotives through the famously steep Chilkoot Trail and offers sweeping mountain views during its climb toward Canada.

The Huna Tlingit welcome visitors to Chichagof Island, where you can experience their rich culture and unspoiled wilderness. Inside the 1912 cannery complex visit the free museum.

july 16 - day 10 - port of call: ketchikan, alaska

Arrives 10:00am  - Departs 5:30pm

 

Ketchikan is the gateway to Misty Fjords National Monument, whose landscapes and dramatic seascapes can only be reached by plane or boat. The Salmon Capital is a hub for sports fishing and home to a collection of totem poles. Where you can explore the history of totem poles and see some terrific examples.

july 17 - day 11 - inside passage (cruising)

The Inside Passage embodies the best of Alaska's pristine nature and rugged beauty. The wildlife, rainforest shrouded in mist, magnificent fjords and the majesty of the Hubbard Glacier are among the many photo ops.
